VVL Alternator/Distributor FAQ
Hey guys,
I was doing some research but I did not find any post as specific as I want. This is the thing, I started to run a VE engine on my B13 a few months ago. I have the OEM OBD1 harness with the Alternator and Distributor from my previous DE engine and the car has been running just fine.
I’ve hard a couple of histories saying that I should use the alternator and distributor that came originally on the VE engine. My question is… Why is that? Am I losing something? Am I gonna gain something extra?
BTW… I have a Nistune ECU and I’m planning to go to the Dyno and re-tune it cuz right now I’m just running a basic map.
Thanks for any info or feedback you can provide
