Usually 900 shipped to a shop in yuma. Ive seriously bought about 25+ motors from them. 4 ve's, about 20 de's, and several honda SOHC and DOHC motors. Every single one of them clean as could be. Some had practically no miles on them guranteed as the inside was new and oil was fresh, pan had clean oil with no shavings or flakes at all, every bolt, fuel rail, and brackets still had that anodized brand new look. It looked like it was barely even ever started. All the ve's were clean as hell. Ronald will hook you up if your close buy and even if not it might be better off getting one through them if you cant find any for a decent price close by. Give Ronald a call at Soko and tell him Ashton sent you. He will hook you up.
As for you, Did you take the time to pull the pan and remove the dent from the lower pan as im sure like every jdm motor ive ever gotten, it was probably smashed in the center probably resting against the pickup tube. On the ve's they have a better designed pickup tube than the De's do that wont allow complete starvation when the pan is up against the pickup tube but still it would hinder oil flow. A for bent valves. Explain how that happens unless valves were contacted previously or by you. Most VE's were from automatics which are really really unlikely to be overrevved to cause such a thing. I have a hard time believing the bent valve thing unless it was caused by something you such as an overrev. Just sayin.

When I got the motor the oil pan was slightly slightly dented and i did remove it and banged it out...bent valves I have no idea and yes the ve motor is mated to a auto Tranny which doesn't see high revs and also the pistons showed no signs of contact..have no clue what happened. Next weekend went back with a friend to get his ve motor and did leak down test on 3 motors and on all 3 motors had bent valves...owner said its moisture build up from the motor sitting too long but after start up and ran for about 30 min or so it should be fine..idk.
