Thread: Shortage of SR20VE engines?

I walked in engine zone about 2 months ago, they had 12 motors and 3 were slugged per there description.. Exact words out of the guys mouth: " we are gonna clean those up and they will be available for sale next week". Then I proceeded to comp test 3 motors as my friend pulled the valve covers on the others. All the motors came back with 1 cylinder down anywhere from 30-60psi from the other 3 cylinders. I won't deal with them ever.

I just got one from jdm engine depot havnt comp tested it but looks to be ok just a Lil dirty on the outside other then that no rtv or anything but the one other that was left behind was full of rtv and sludge and I had to pay 900 and wait a few weeks till they got more.

turned out pretty good from the zone. and $100 cheaper than the depot

No issues with zone here, 1 year and still strong as hell.

i got a ve parts stockpile lol the last time i went was last year this time and they had 2 motors, one really shitty looking one and one clean one, i regret not buying the shitty looking one along with the clean one, only reason we went to pick motors up was because i figured the tsunami would have slowed down the importing or cause them to raise the price of the motors

My friend got a shipment of engines in today and got no VEs. He normally gets like 8 of them every time but couldn't get any this time.

Damn,you guys from CT are taking them all.lol
