Thread: SR16VE Factory Header Thing I Noticed

Below is a pic of a SR16VE motor with a factory JDM header on it. Now I have seen this header before on the Euro DE Lowport 10 to 1 motor and now I am seeing this header on a few SR16VEs. This is now the 5th one I have seen like that. Not sure if it is something the guys are doing in Japan or if this is a factory mod on the newer SR16VEs.

Just checking to see if any of the gusy have seen this before.

yup my 16ve came with the 10.1 header also.

not sure which header is under the heat shield in the op picture but this is what came on my 16ve



and that matches up to what is shown in fast (using 2010 data)

yeah that's it, and that's the only header option for the blue top 16ve from the n15 that fast lists, so i think its definitely been modded by the guys in Japan who own the cars. I wonder what kind of gains it gives? or if it gives a better bottom end? as thats where the 16ve needs help imo

Looks like the JDM guys like USDM Nology wires too.....

That SR16VE engine is from JB15. It should have different header than regular JN15 SR16VE.

I had one of those engines before and it brought the same header as the SR20ve.. T
