If only my buddy hadnt lost the video of my t67 h.o setup on 35 lbs doing a 5th gear pull with the 6 speed trans making 5th gear just pound the limiter with the speedo on the reset peg. lol

I got over that stage with my big turbo. Wheelspin sounds cool. I'd rather be hookin and moving out!

True but even spinning like that the car was still picking up speed very very fast, lol. 70-130mph in about 4-4 1/2 seconds. lol.

Some nice DR's would have made it a little less worse and actually pull even quick but at the time the car was my daily and DR's were not practical for a daily driver especially since anything under 110mph even on pump gas would just light them up anyways. Im surprised my Falken Ziex 912's actually lasted as long as they did.

Its still weaksauce. Only cowboys race in 5th gear.

From a dead stop or even a slow roll on the street you would get destroyed by 95% of the NA cyl cars up here.

Turbo cars are impressive when they are put together solid, put the power to the ground and last a long time.

Drive to the local races, drive cross country, drive to the track, trap over 130mph, drive home. Do that over and over for 3 years and then it will impress me.

Quoted for the truth.

I always drove my car to the track with my 60 trim turbo setup except for the very last time. Id usually always have something minor happen that i couldnt drive it back home though. Axle or something, never anything with the motor though. Id drive it an hour to go race people from a nearby city in Cali, race and smoke crotch rockets and any other people that didnt know about my car in my city (usually Marines), drove for a year to work every day, only issues were trannies at first but 85w-140 solved that issue and after that didnt have a single problem. I lived 3 hours from the track though too but hey last time i drove to the track i got 40 mpg doing so. I went with upgrades after that and never took it back on 30psi after shattering my axle. Oh well.

To me its impressive. Had I left the setup alone there is no reason the motor and setup wouldnt have lasted another year and a half of abuse. It was a kick ass very reliable very basic and very budget setup. Less than 5500 bucks into the car total. Cant complain there.

True I can't knock it man. I'll do another turbo build. For what some of us guys are doing in the NE, N/A is the way. The cars are street driven and used for money runs. When people hear all motor nissan, they think its a joke. That is the key to make some dudes out there look like fools after we run.

As for putting it to the ground, that would have been as easy as setting up my scramble boost on the Truboost. But the wheelspin never really mattered much as the car would still pull rediculously. I raced a 370whp n2o HC b20 vtec hatch and put lengths on him even blowing the tires off and he had full traction every gear, and I was on pump gas.

That's why I say gobs of power are not needed. Give 450-500 whp and I will hurt some feelings.

Like I mentioned I want that crazy out of control car. So for once I guess Ashton and I agree on something (world may end soon) but, with that said if I was building a car to race on the sheets with m ore track use I would enjoy a NA car with some drugs a lot more due to being able to put the power down easier. My car is not a race car by any means. Just a clean street cruiser that will be pushed when I want a smile on my face. Other than that elbow out the window, Bob Marley playing on the radio and smelling the race gas while rolling at 35mph with a a bad ass sounding motor under the hood.

Priceless/

Oh and I can respect all your n/a builds for sure man. I brag about them all the time for you guys. lol. I love it. Its exciting stuff you guys are doing. Maybe in a couple years ill do a nice HC 2.3 VE build to put in a full interior, A/C, Street Car.

Keep doing your thing.

BTW if you want to take me up on the challenge ill throw street tires on there on the last day of the convention and we can see how those n/a cars fair on the street i mean track. lol

Shouldn't be a problem. We should have a few that you can choose from. I'll more than likely be the slowest one from the pack, lol.

I love how we completely derailed this thread. Whoops. lol
