The question was posted in a manner where the op does not seem to be an idiot.

Very important to state the dyno used when throwing numbers around.

Ahh very true

I was on a Dynojet on 10lbs with a car full of tools and luggage

Honestly it was like I pulled on him like noithing. But I've been told my car feels faster then the set-up I have. Maybe its the tuning who knows.

Ashton, it is the horsepower that makes the difference. It is just not the peak horsepower that makes the difference since they both have the same. It is the area under the power curve. It is the high power surrounding the peak.

We could all do ourselves a favor and re-read these threads:

Some of you seem to have a bias towards VVL or turbo, and create a scenario to 'prove' your point.

Can a VE be faster than a turbo? Yes
Can a turbo be faster than a VE? Yes
Can a DE be faster than a turbo? Yes
etc, etc, bla bla bla

The better question is what does it take, money wise, and skill wise to do it?

Dollar for dollar, which is better? I know what my answer is, what about you guys?

Torque gets you going and horsepower keeps you going.

Amen!

Dollar for dollar it is clearly obvious. At least in my case and power goals it is

Yeah I didn't even want to contribute to this thread because we all knew it was going to turn into anoying banter back and forth. There is a very easy and clear answer to the ops question. Guess no one wants to accept that...

Nitrous!

Oh, wait... that was not part of the question.

I think the original question has been answered, and beaten to death. That means the thread dies, or people come up with crazy tweaks to the question to see if they can find out more information, and/or troll.
