The 8CW does weigh more. I'm still unsure why the 4CW isn't any good. I read a thread on it once but don't remember what all was stated. I remember something about it wearing through bearings, but that's about it and don't remember why lol.

strange that the 4cw was used in the uk n15 gti lowport rr sr20, and there are lots of those still going strong at 100,000+miles, quites good considering they supposedly chew bearings

Guys, just to let yall know the 4cw is fine. 10k rpms is nice, just depends on how its prepped.

From reading, a 4cw crank isn't bad. Your bearings will wear quicker. But it shouldn't be that noticeable with good maintenance and respect for the motor. I'm gonna he running a 4cw crank in my det

I'm gonna build my other VE block for turbo but I'd like to know what would be a better way to go. I can and will have either crank balanced with the full rotating assembly. Though for turbo I'll probably just do the 8cw like I've been planning. If I were to do an N/A motor I'd use the 4cw and cut the weights off and balance the whole thing to 0.
