Pulled all this out in this condition

So the new clutch is in. No more vibrations when i down shift but the car still slips in 5th gear. It grabs perfectly fine throughout the gears and then in 5th while cruising it revs up and pops back into gear without me doing anything except giving it gas because i sometimes dont react quick enough to let off the gas. what can this be? I got new clutch, pressure plate, thrust bearing and the seats for the bearing.

So its popping out of 5th? If so thats the infamous 5th gear pop out. Tranny rebuild, 5th gear rebuild kit, or new tranny.

Thats the early signs 0f 5th gear pop out. Same exact thing happened to me in my non LSD G20. The tranny eventually died so I just swapped in my SE-R one in there.

Ahhh shit man... But like the shift linkage stays in gear. The stick and everything! So this is what it does? Im gonna try more tranny fluid

If u can hold it in fifth and still slipping its gone man. Some used to use bungie straps to hold in 5th lol

I tried that holding trick but it shaked and grinded so hard it felt like the whole front end of my car was going to fall off lol. had to complete my drive home to NC from NYC in 4th gear FTL it was only like 45 miles left though so it wasnt so bad.

Hmmmm, well gonna start looking for a 01 tranny out of a roller rocker

What exactly did they hold witht he bungie cords? The stick shift? Mine doesnt pop out of gear though lol

The mild case is it popping out, eventually it can stay in gear and nothing when trying to drive, or grind like a bitch. Normally it gives you some warning and can be held in and work for a short time.
