Flywheel is for a manual car. Flex plate is for a automatic.
The flexplate doesn't have a surface for the clutch to ride on. Its used to bolt a torque converter to.

I was planning to get a lightened flywheel but looks like finding one used and a good quality one at a decent price is going to be difficult. might just reuse stock DE one

As far as the wideband is concerned, I always recommend the Innovate MTX-L.

The NGK AFX is one of the slowest responding screen refresh rates available... like seriously slow. Even if they use the NTK sensor, I still wouldn't use one because of the refresh rate.

Still cost of buying one is beyond me at the moment. its not desperately needed to get the car running so I will get it in the next month or so.

Just because you have a pretuned board doesn't mean your car will be running right. The tune could be good but you can have somehing else wrong with it to cause you to run rich/lean. A wideband will quickly show that. I am just saying a wideband is important to have with a modified car.
