I just realize the K is a newer and better motor with more potential. Mainly due to the aftermarket support, two because they can be taken to a 2.4L without sleeving the block and using off the shelf aftermarket parts, cams galore to choose from, and can be taken up to a 2.7L with off the shelf parts and sleeving. Again tops our VE's. You dont see alot of big built K2X street cars as most that do the swap spent all their money just to afford the complete swap. So yeah you will see a lot of stock K swapped cars and they are not that impressive at all.

You just need to realize where your beat. The K's dont hold all the records for a reason. lol Also at the event there were a couple k powered cars, there wernt any nissan all motor cars. Thats what I was saying was the fastest all motor cars that were there were pretty slow in the Southwest area. Not many fast all motor Hondas, Im pretty sure I could build a simple 2.2 HC that would have been very very competitive in that class if not taken the win. But all motor just isnt my thing so I dont really care.

Ks only hold records because Nissan guys have nothing to prove so arn't really sitting there doing everything we can with the best technology possible into our cars like honda boys. We are not sitting in our garages with pissed off grudges trying to tweak our Ks to squeeze out every little hp like we could to go compete and be fastest but I bet if we tried we'd pull records.

Your now being retarded. lol

Cory's 2.45L VE which has made the most power and Im saying that because of his trap speed. I dont care what anyone says. His car has proven itself. He has gone 11.5 I believe and 118mph. With some changes to squeeze even more out he shouldnt have a problem hitting 300+whp and hitting 120-122mph traps and run high 10's. K's have been in the 10s all motor for years and years now. Now fastest k street class car is in the 9's at 135mph. Again I doubt the VE will ever ever get there. Cory's car has a ton of R&D into it, time, money and so on. More money that most will ever spend on their VE's. And that is still .25 Liter short of the largest K series.

They own the records because they have higher displacement capabilities and aftermarket support. Two things the VE will never reach in terms of being equal to the honda guys and their K series motor

Hell there are faster B-Series and H-Series motors than the fastest VE. Again, aftermarket support. The b and h in stock form are not better than the VE but with the CNC headwork available thats pretty inexpensive and has netted huge results, stroker kits, sleeved blocks w/big bores making 2.6 and 2.7L H-series is pretty easy to do. And they too are running good numbers.

Again nothing we can do.

I agree with u on the fact that we will never have the aftermarket support...but what if we did...what if this Corey guy had this help...Idk...

Wow since when did the VE have cam timing control on it? maybe I missed the memo do we now have iVVL? I don't think you SR20 fan boys understand how this technology works. If you did you wouldn't be saying stupid things like this.

EXACTLY!!! If the 2.5L in the Spec V's weren't such a POS (ALOUTA) you guys would of been on that and THEN you guys would of made K's cry. All you gotta do to a K is slap on a k20a2 head with type r cams, type r intake manifold, onto a k24 block which are out of anything from accords to elements with (OEM) pistons. Plus this k24 swap is all (STOCK) still just a oem header is needed to swap into different chassis. With that setup alone dyno tuned will put out 240-250whp!! and 170-190ftq!! which is crazy! I just cant believe everyone is still arguin about this LMAO. I told you it was like a classic honda depate about which setup will beat the other. I been there n done that with hondas.

Fourteen (14) pages of bench-racing?

We get a very very good bang for the buck performance wise with the ve. 200whp capable with less than 2G's into the motor including the price of the motor. Not bad at all really.

Figure a complete K-swap is anywhere from 2500-4000 depending on mileage, condition, and what motor it is, then it will still need some bolt ons and k-pro to make 200whp. So figure another 1000 in mods to reach the 200whp mark. Weve got the K beat in that aspect and only that aspect.

Once you start building and really modding. The K will always be ahead. No doubts.

That is a very big and very important "only thing" aspect that you are pointing out Ashton. The dollar/performance ratio. It is exactly why I bought a 1993 Sentra SE-R, fresh off the dealer lot, in the first place.

I'm using your numbers, I have no reason to doubt nor the expertise to question them.

Less than $2,000.00 for 200 NA whp, Nissan VE swap.

Or

At least $3,500.00 (maybe as much as $5,000.00) for 200 NA whp, Honda K-swap.

That is a bare minimum of 75% more money to get to 200 NA whp.

After which point the K series will kick our Nissan VE ass, as long as the finances holds out. Blah, blah, blah....

Budget dependent, Nissan wins.

Budget independent, Honda wins.

Very, very few of us, if any, are "budget independent."
