Just think where our community would be without the VE. I think the VE has kept and brought a lot of people in our community. If we were still stuck with the DE and DET to mess with, I dont think there would be a lot of FWD SR guys left. I think a lot more would have switched to other makes like *cough*Subaru*cough* and so on.

The VE is a great thing for us but it doesnt compare to the K series. Stock for stock its close but still not as good.

K's are starting to make a small appearances out here in Eg's but they are still rare what's making a huge jump out on the scene this year 2012 in Boston is the H-swaps. That's all I'm thinking...Those motors make the TQ out the box for cheap.

We would still be rocking it out old school with S4 cammed DE's on big boost.

Our motors be it DE or VE are great. They are very strong and take a lot of abuse. The VE is the best thing that ever happened to us but, regardless what we do or what support we get we can't compare it to the K.

well put, i love nissan but at the end of the day i have to keep it real. the k series is a better motor but how many of these you actually see rolling around compared to the b series?? not alot and i know the ve is better than the b series.

Yep or C2 cammed DE's on big boost. I loved my last setup. That sound at idle on C2's and a head capable of reving to 9k all day long. Not bad. But for what I wanted to do, it would take a VE head to do so and reliably. It would take a lot of work to get a DE head to flow what a VE one does stock.

But yeah I know I would still be in this scene even if the VE's were never around.

How can't we compare to the k...I have read that the k was designed after the ve...Idk... This seems like a losing battle Haha

The only thing the VE has on the K-series is the performance/dollar aspect and the fact that its a direct swap into our cars, no mount kit, switching axles, harness' and so on necessary.

We get a very very good bang for the buck performance wise with the ve. 200whp capable with less than 2G's into the motor including the price of the motor. Not bad at all really. Figure a complete K-swap is anywhere from 2500-4000 depending on mileage, condition, and what motor it is, then it will still need some bolt ons and k-pro to make 200whp. So figure another 1000 in mods to reach the 200whp mark. Weve got the K beat in that aspect and only that aspect.

Once you start building and really modding. The K will always be ahead. No doubts.

Where is our k pro ? A calum isn't even close... So let's throw a standalone on the ve ...then compare...trust me my town is all Honda... And my ve tore it up without a tune...hence why I note it up...was tearing up frankenstein swaps and everything...I just have faith in the ve...if we had some more aftermarket support such as k pro and hondata we wld be set. Think about it..half of us in here are cheap assess....I'm one of them...ooohhh a ssac header...what about that 900 header( can't remember the jibble jabble of the name) and a good Cai or a well designed intake that sets behind the headlight...have to be 3 inch....match all that up with a good mandrel 3 inch exhaust with a well designed apexi sport 2 muffler ...Haha then we can talk...if u gonna go n/a then u have to plan for it...not slap it together. Honda has a bunch of ppl trying verious stuff on the k...so they know how to make the power ...we r still figureing out how to tweak some stuff.

put the VE in a light car like a b11/b12 or a stripped to hell b13 and will still kick ass

Where is our K-Pro? Check out what JKTuning is doing with our stock ecus and there is your k-pro. K-pro is not a standalone ecu. Not even close.

JK is doing with a stock ecu just as much as what K-pro can do. So yeah and its the same price basicly for his realtime ecu using NEMU and Tunercode.

The ve is plenty capable but just not where the K's are and can be.
