I am a fan of the H2B but, to say its better than the K is crazy. Also I will say the K is better than the J series.

When it comes to 4 cylinder motors the K is on top followed by the 4G63.

The J swaps are absolute trash. They fit and look like shit. They run like absolute shit. Johnny walked a J swapped EG hatch with his stock bottom VE. They are unique but to have a whale penis of a hood or the new mounting kits that have the oil pan hang 2cm off the floor, i'm goooood.

Its really hard to beat the K. You can put together a solid setup with off the shelf parts. It will NOT be cheap unless you find a crackhead parting out or stolen parts. At the end of the day K is the king of honda. Budget built, probably not. As far as when fully worked, yes.

I am not crazy about the H2b setups. I ran away from a 220whp H2B with my high comp motor like he was standing still. If I ever did honda it would be a B series boosted or all motor K.

for the price for a kswap and to build a k ,yes h2b is the best bang for your buck and thats y its better than the k,if you take 2 cars of the same make and model spend 15k on both costs of swap included the h2b will rape the k series.im a fan of both tho :P

if your spending 15k as a whole on the car, motor and set up the k wins.

if your spending just 15k on the motor the k wins.

guys agian, what dont you get the THE K IS KING !

i love my sr20 man, like a mother fucker.

k is still top and will be for a very long time. i will have low 11 stock crank stock sleeve k in the next few years.

along with a low 11 all motor sr24ve (yes i plan on doing it agian).

you guys have to wrap your heads around the fact that honda has been king and will remain king.

this is soo stupid to be going back and forth. X is better then Y. I mean if you saying stock swap better vs stock swap FOR THE PRICE then sure the ve is the mother fuckin shit. But id your trying to say the h2b or ve is an all out better motor then a k, your on drugs lol.

Also yes we all have stories of beating a k. Doesn't mean our set up is better. At the last event I was at I faced a shop car from chicago that was a full race, fully stripped, fuel cell, fully built k24. High cr, 62mm itbs, custom header, all the good stuff, they have dynos over 300whp and yet who came out on top : )

Yes I beat the car. But I know I was lucky and it should have never eneded the way it did. Without driving and price the k is always the king. You guys let me know when you see ve motors hit over 400whp, then maybe we can compete. Hell even the h2b setups are lucky to break 350whp. The bseries are lucky to come close to 350whp. We are still trying to hit the 300whps consistantly. Yes they are not full out race motors but still its very obvious we fall short.

It is what it is. Make the best of it and go out and beat a honda today!

wasnt saying that h series is a better motor cus i would be lieing if i did.the point i was tryin to make is for the COST of a k series swap you could build something to be faster.i love hondas and ive owned quite a bit of them .but im a car enthusiest not just a honda enthusiest..besides the new k series is a fail now ,honda is a fail now,ill stick to the 80s and 90s hondas

exactly, ive lost to very few hondas, in fact i can only think of 3 off the top of my head. but know there are ones localy that would give me the business, just never ran across them.

we love the sr so we do what we do, plain and simple.

Yeah its sooo sad but true. When my first set up broke into the 11s all motor all everyone was talkin shit, saying I saw him purging lol. Then when I came back the next year even quicker they still had to be talking shit even though I was running the the MS motor street class lol. Ppl are dumb. But its worth it when your out there waxin ppl left and right and instead of giving you the credit you deserve they decide to say your spraying instead.

So I guess your right, might aswell be spraying. That was my plan with the 2.3 since I kept the compression low enough so that I would be possible to spray if I wanted. But I messed that up when I threw the new crank in. No spray for me, so go do the 2.3 justice bes. I really want to see what it could do. I honestly think you will be in the mid to high 120s if you have enough balls to throw a 100 shot at it...

Jamie and I spoke about it enough so that will be the plan. I am hoping to give the local K cars a problem just on the motor. I figure for K's like my buddy has well into the 300whp range I will need the smack.

I'm working on it strat! lol. I will start light on the nitrous. I figure we will try something like a 50 shot and see how the motor responds. I can't imagine it hurting the bottom end. Not sure as far as headgasket goes or if the nitrous will really affect it. Time will tell boys!
