K20EG I/H/E Tuned should take a VE I/H/E Tuned B13. Most I've seen from a stock I/H/E Tuned VE was 197whp, on average about 185whp. K20z1 put down 220whp I/H/E tuned pretty easily. Hatch weights 150-200lbs lighter.

That does not mean an i/h/e ve won't beat a k20 eg, some cars just run good, others not so.

Exactly!

Jimbos car didn't always have N1s as far as I know.. Also, trans and flyhweel don't matter. You gotta remember like I said, these "stock" K20 hondas have flywheels, tranny mods whatever. I have only seen about 3 truthfully stock K20 swaps in person and they were not too impressive.

Also I know someone who put down 204whp with stock ve: I/H/E

All I can say is that I will go thorw in N1 pistons and N1 cams with I/H/E tune and SR16 tranny and rep hard for stock VEs. Shit who will no I'm not stock right? Same shit Honda guys do

Trust me, I'm all for beating the Honda guys, if I wasn't I wouldn't have an se-r. And that guy in the video beat a k hatch. Makes me happy to see. But if I was gonna put money on it, and the ve is on stock cams, I'm betting on the k.

It's hondas for some reason. I rode in my buddies tuned LSVTEC ek and told him he would pull me by like 2 cars when I had my DE. That car felt like a beast inside! Raced him and pulled a half a car length almost a full length on him.

Yah ok properly running K swaps move good but stock for stock you guys are saying basically a B13 with a K will whoop a B13 with a VE? Yah OK

Never seen it with my eyes in fact I've heard the VE nicknamed K20 killer.

I have had no problem pulling on Type S Rsxs and even a k swapped ek civic

Here is a perfect example of B13SR20VE with bolt ons vs EGK20 with bolt ons and both cars are tuned and run really hard for stock.

Search this on youtube: Jimbovvl vs frustrate k series hatch

My dude stop being a Nissan fanboy. Hands down the K series is a better motor that will make more power. The K series is leagues ahead of the VE.

Also keep in mind Jimbo was on spray when he ran Frustrate. The VE was not NA.

The K motor is a tough competitor for sure. My buddy had a 94 eg with a k20 type r motor, intake, header, exhaust, pullies, flywheel, clutch, and running on k-pro it made 236whp, his car was full interior and he had one passenger when we ran when I had my stock cam VE, w/ Intake w/ pop charger, ssac header running open, pullies, flywheel, and calum ecu in my sentra with a lot of weight reduction. His hatch with him in it weight 2500 lbs roughly, 2600 with small girl passenger, with me in the sentra 2260 lbs. We ran from a 10mph 1st gear roll. We were side by side until about 115 when he finally pulled a fender length by 125mph

Had I had n1 cams it would have been all over for him. But you have to take into account the 350 lbs or so of less weight that I had on him.

i dont know why this has to be brought up time an time again.

Fact: K-series is a better engine

enough said.

im still a sr guy at heart, i dont really like hondas very much (prob due to the idiots that rice them) but the k series makes more power then the sr20ve, even with n1 cams. so put that in the same weight chassis as a b13 or lighter an unless the guy drivin is an idiot he's going to pull on the b13..

i've won a few races against some RSX Type-S's but they are so heavy it wasn't really a challenge..

Yep, exactly. The k20 has earned its right in the books as top 4cylinder N/A motor out there. Winning or losing to one will only come down to whether or not its tuned properly or running on a factory ecu and dead stock, bad driver in the k car, or weight of the k car is way more.

Thats the only reason I stayed that close with about 185whp compared to 236whp, 350 lbs makes a big difference.

Now ive seen some not so impressive k's that were basicly dead stock swaps running on stock ecus. In that case they will put down in the 175-180whp range so running one of those even if weights were the same will be a different story.

But based on what the OP is describing. K series EG will destroy the stock cam VE. The DC2, maybe a close run only due to weight differences.

1 thing i know for sure is that we have the best and fastest BANG for your BUCK engine swaps compared to the Hondas.

My engine swap cost approx 1k and i'm still almost as fast or possibly as fast as a k20a swap costing you 5k+
