Why is everybody making the K out to be soo high and mighty? Lol.

Yah ok properly running K swaps move good but stock for stock you guys are saying basically a B13 with a K will whoop a B13 with a VE? Yah OK

Never seen it with my eyes in fact I've heard the VE nicknamed K20 killer.

I have had no problem pulling on Type S Rsxs and even a k swapped ek civic

Here is a perfect example of B13SR20VE with bolt ons vs EGK20 with bolt ons and both cars are tuned and run really hard for stock.

1. The K20 is high and mighty. Especially being equipped with a 6MT STOCK.
2. That Didn't look like a b13 and i'm sure he has more than I/H/E. Probably cams and other power adders.

I'm not doubting the b13 sr20ve power in any way because i have one and let me say it Woops @$$!! Tho the eg/dc2 k20 guys are doing mid to high 13s on the 1/4 mi with only a header and exhaust. Most the b13 sr20ve guys i see here with similar mods are clocking low 14s.

The problem is that there isn't many people caring or putting effort into squeezing stock power out like the Honda boys. I see mostly people getting VEs and just throwing parts at the motor saying go faster.

There are tons and tons of honda owners thus in that vast group there are people sitting there saying " I'm gonna squeeze every bit of juice I can out of this K20 swap".

If someone sat there and decided to squeeze out a VE like that I could see 13s.

I'm talking timing advancements, proper fuel maps, Maybe a little IM cleaning with a upgraded TB/MAF.

I dont see why a completely gutted B13 with miscellaneous metals removed, and other sorts of wieght reduction with an SR20VE with GOOD I/H/E GOOD tune GOOD clutch/flywheel GOOD driver GOOD tires with light wheels and an SR16VE gearbox can't hit 13s.

You gotta understand the Honda guys world also. These "stock" K20s more than likely have valve jobs, port and polishing done, all kinds of things that help make power but still leave the motor classified as "stock". All the hard running K swaps I know of secretly have this stuff done and on top of that they run cam gears and play with those too. But to anyone at the meets or races they are "stock".

A stock cam ve is not going to beat a k20 eg hatch period. The integra might be a driver's race. (I'm assuming it's k powered too?)

Depends on lots of things. Leave it at that. I have seen K20 EG hatches running the same trap speeds as my N1 cam VE. I also raced a K hatch and would of probably been ahead if traction was on my side. Lots of factors come into play. It all really depends.

Jimbo's car had N1's,SR16 trans, flywheel etc...

basically Mike's old setup and was putting down the same power give or take a 1-2whp from Mike VVL.

K20EG I/H/E Tuned should take a VE I/H/E Tuned B13. Most I've seen from a stock I/H/E Tuned VE was 197whp, on average about 185whp. K20z1 put down 220whp I/H/E tuned pretty easily. Hatch weights 150-200lbs lighter.

That does not mean an i/h/e ve won't beat a k20 eg, some cars just run good, others not so.

didn't see your vid initially, but I've driven a ve'd b13 and driven a stock untuned k hatch and the k was faster by a cunt hair. And the ve in the b13 had n1 cams and was not a slouch.

Trust me, I'm all for beating the Honda guys, if I wasn't I wouldn't have an se-r. And that guy in the video beat a k hatch. Makes me happy to see. But if I was gonna put money on it, and the ve is on stock cams, I'm betting on the k.
