hey dont jinx me man.. im going to run that 85w140 stuff an keep the same clutch so hopefully 3rd will stay together.. its not like im tryin to go for a whole lot of power, just like 300whp an thats it lol.

i do have a backup trans but i've got to put it together

What kind of clutch do you have in it right now? The clutch could just slip and die vs killing 3rd. I use to run a clutch like that in my DSM so I wouldn't kill my trans if I started to drive like a jackass.

jwt pp / b15 disc

my friend has a jwt pp that he got from gregv, and its alot softer then my pp.. i got mine from a forum member an it was used so i dont know the exact details, but my pedals noticeably stiffer..

but ya the plan is to save the trans by sacrificing the clutch if i have to..

I'm really not tryin to make a shit ton of power, no more then 300whp. at least not until i can get a p11 trans but even then i dont think i wanna go more then 350whp.

The jwt clutch will hold just fine. Peters car and my buddies nx both run a jwt pp with b15 disk and have never had an issues. Never popped a spring out or anything, nx has been boosted for 40k+ miles of torture. I like the feel of the jwt clutch, while stiffer than stock, the engagement is smooth and nice and it grabs hard. Never shown signs of slipping. Right now the nx is on 15 lbs on a t28 so probably around 240-250whp id say.

good shit, vadim is using the same setup aswell.. i figure if i had a weak link i'd rather it be the clutch then the trans

i'm going through my drivetrain and was gonna up the clutch...was looking at my options and an unsrung fx500 is cheaper than the 300 so been considering that....not sure about an unsprung disk for DD tho

i would like to get a better trans before upgrading my clutch tho

I know i`ll end up doing the 6 speed swap in a year or so just want a good clutch that will hold the power and not cost me $500! LOL
