But yeah, K has a huge advantage, hell just in aftermarket alone not to mention the ability to go to a 2.7 Liter.
Gotta give credit where its due. Fastest street K right now is 9.86 i believe but thats overseas in Dubai, fastest in the states is Norris from Prayoonto Racing with his 9.97 There are outlaw all motor cars well into the 9's though but thats at street trim and weight which i believe is 2140 lbs with driver.
Yep they are good motors, What our QR should of been for the SE-Rs after the SR20's life was nearing its end.. But great motors like SR's and B-Series will live on just like V8s from the past..
On boost our VE's and DET's have no problem its juts the Extreme All motor front.. On heavily boosted drag cars they are still pushing B's way more than K's just all motor has gone straight K.

I admit the K's are a better Design, but isn't it funny its more similar to a VE/20V than any B series motor. Its like they bought a VE and used it as there platform and made it better.
I dont think the K has anything in common with a 20v Ever see a K bottom end?
This is there equiv of a girdle, A full on bed plate surrounding the crank
And there transmissions for the K's are even stronger than the B's which are probably as strong as our B15 trannies.. Just glad we have the B15 option back in the day we were screwed on transmissions.
They have tons of options, huge aftermarket, great chassis, and awesome motors but we also have great options and motors just not as many..
Either way I still love my Nissans although I did cheat for a while with Hondas and built a 12 sec n/a CRX w/GSR with mild bolt ons many years ago.
Was fun as hell, Would rev 9k RPM all day like a VE but had to worry about it being stolen every time I parked it.. With the SE-R I never have to worry.
