You guys need to remember one thing.. First off im from and support the Nissan camp.. Regardless but I will give credit where its due..

SR20VE = B18C basically... B Series w/VTEC, The K series is a generation newer with more technology... VE is not really comparable to K20's let alone
Hybrid K24's and bored and stroked K Series motors which can max out around 2.6 liters.

These guys on Built Bored motors are making 350+ WHP N/A

2.7 Liters for a K. Theres a couple of them out there. 2.6 is the norm though. They are just starting to push them to 2.7 with the new stroker kits available but require machining of the block and stuff to clear.

But yeah, K has a huge advantage, hell just in aftermarket alone not to mention the ability to go to a 2.7 Liter.

Gotta give credit where its due. Fastest street K right now is 9.86 i believe but thats overseas in Dubai, fastest in the states is Norris from Prayoonto Racing with his 9.97 There are outlaw all motor cars well into the 9's though but thats at street trim and weight which i believe is 2140 lbs with driver.

I love nissan, hands down. But something nobody can change is the truth.
Long story short, K20 is a better motor and majority of the time they are mated to trannys with better gearing (when compared to sr20 trannys). The only "k20" i believe can also be beaten by any VE along with DE's (depending on the driver/car) are k20a3's (EP3 Si motor)
Yes I know there are many factors behind what makes a car faster along with the mystery behind the word "stock" when honda boys say it.

The simple fact that the aftermarket has so much more from fwd honda compared to fwd nissan....so much more to choose from....it CAN be cheaper to go fast with a b chasse but you can go fast more ways with a honda....and the after market is driven by what the people want for the most part so as long as the civic nation is going we get less love =( them jumping on the drifting bandwagon doesn`t help either since rwd parts mostly don`t work for us.....damnit.....i love nissan and sr20`s but honda still controls the aftermarket....lame but true =(

We just can not compete. The big Ks are well into the 400whp range now all day long.

Also yes I ran mid 13s with a stock ve but a friend of mine went mid 12s with his stock k. Just a header and a tune and it was in a crx. And that was years and years ago...

Sorry guys give it up, our motor is junk in comparison.

^STFU.

Idk boys. I have nothing but boys with hondas and once you start getting so fast, they do not last. Same would be with us if we had 107mm cranks lol. It gets insanely expensive. If anyone thinks they are going to build a low 11 to high 10 honda for cheap from scratch, you got another thing coming.

Realistically though... K > VE > B

Power to Weight Ratio always Wins.

CRX, EG, EK, Light Cars.

I admit the K's are a better Design, but isn't it funny its more similar to a VE/20V than any B series motor. Its like they bought a VE and used it as there platform and made it better.
