G20 VS 200SX SE-R for VVL swap
Looking at buying either a G20 or 200SX SE-R to swap out the SR20DE with a SR20VE(T eventually)

Which do you think would be best for the swap?

Speed and handling are what I'm going for. Looks factor in a bit too :P

Do both of these handle the VVL swap with minimal modifications?

Thanks in advance for the help

So far looks like 1996 models are readily available on Craigslist near me. Found a 2000 for a decent price but I know those are much heavier.

Actually 95 and 96 P10's are only about 100lbs lighter then 1999-2002 P11's.

200sx's will be the lightest though and will respond the best to a VE. But if you go VE-T then my vote is for P11. It's prettier, and is better built quality wise then a B14.

All have potential to look good. Swaps are fairly easy. I believe the swap is relatively easy in a P10 and the 99 P11(IIRC). Same should go for the B14. For speed, I would build a B14. I do hear the P chassis is better for handling. I just use mine for a daily and don't beat on it so I couldn't verify.

Stock for stock yes. I would only get a P11 again as the best de around.

Wheel hop? really?

From what I was seeing the 1991 G20 weighs 2500 and the 2000 weights 2900

I do have two kids so could probably benefit from the Luxury 4 door over the smaller 2 door.

Pretty much. I think the P11 should be kept to mild cosmetic and suspension mods. Leave the racing crap/beating to the B chassic. P is the way to go for a reliable cruising car.

My 91 Sentra weighs, what, 2100?

Only thing I am worried about is beating that SHO

the 2000 G20 is looking good for now, but that could change within the next month when I get my return.

IE could be off the market

Depending what you pull out, your sentra probably weighs in around 2300-2500 depending on what options the car has.
