I agree, like I said in your other thread, you are way over thinking it. I still stick by my suggestions in the other thread. N1 cams, stock springs & retainers, stock rods, get the crank checked and polished, sr16 pistons, a good header and something to tune with. You are in the 210-230 whp area with that setup being reliable as hell and not having to shell out so much cash for not much wheel horsepower. If you are really only looking for 190whp, stock ve, n1 cams, ssac and a tuneable ecu and you are there. It is the extra above 190whp that cost the most money and for what you have listed you are looking at spending 4 times what you need to to get 190whp. I still stand by my suggestions rather than just a bolt on ve with a crappy header because those extra 20-30whp are a huge difference. Like I have said before and will continue to say, the people who over think and over do unnecessary things to be safe actually seem to be the ones always building and never driving. That or rebuilding the setup because something went wrong whether it be at the machine shop or during assembly. If you are going to go with springs and retainers, get some kelfords, if just n1s, why bother?
