The car is on the road again! Clutch feels GREAT! My speedo isn't working though... I mangled the sensor on the transmission right by the front motor mount (dogbone) that goes through the bell housing, the speed sensor is connecting, would the front sensor cause the speedo to not work?

i really hope you have cut the leg off the dist and have set the timing with a timing gone already man.. if not your playin with fire..

as for the speedo.. disconnect it an play with it by hand, have someone watch the speedo on the dash an when u can turn it and it makes the niddle move you know its back in the cluster.. carefully put it back in the transmission..

You guys sure do know how to bring out the mechanically challenged in me...

I'm confused as to how this can harm the camshaft?
This shows the top leg where it shouldn't be

The dizzy is held in by the bottom leg and is a about 90° from where it should be (the mis matched plug wires on the cap somewhat compensate for this, well enough to run anyway)

The dizzy is flush with the valve cover and does not leak any oil
