Some parts came from GSpec yesterday!

Taking some time off of work so I should have my clutch, valve cover gasket and strike rod seal done by this weekend! If all goes really well I'll try to make it to Speedworld this saturday to get some 1/4 mile times in! Something I realized is that I didn't port my header when it was installed so I'll be doing that as well. I keep this thread updated with my progress!

Haha I was the same way when I picked them up from the post office.

There's just something about seeing parts with "Nissan Genuine Parts" on them that brightens up my day haha

Got the tranny out today, took the clutch off and this is what I found (I have horrible luck with TOB's it seems)

The inner race cracked due to one of the clips falling off I believe so when the clutch was in the TOB wasn't being pushed on evenly (causing it to crack)

You can see how the inner diameter is not even on both sides of the outer TOB, when you'd spin the TOB with your hand you can hear it make a rubbing noise which I believe is the ear piercing high pitched squeal

I need DETAILED instructions on how the FREAKIN clips go on the clutch fork because this is what keeps happening to me! Everything is off and I'm ready to install the new clutch disc, PP and TOB so any help would be great so I don't ever run into this again

If necessary I can post pictures of the clutch fork for reference

I had them on with the clips pinching the clutch lever assembly (both top and bottom) I re-used the old clips and the one looked bent, hopefully that was why one of them fell off

I will post pictures when I get it back on again

That diagram is really helpful as it shows the necessary grease spots

detailed instructions:
push the TOB onto the clutch fork

Def good to use new clips and that is an OEM part only

TOB is in

The reason I thought there was some trick to getting it to click into the clutch lever was because the old clips weren't much to my surprise when I had both new and old clips next to each other I saw that one of them was broken... The new one clicked in with ease

TOB out: (it retracts by itself and seems stable)
