DE thermostats should work, the water neck adapters for the thermostat looks the same on all motors (highports, lowports etc.). If you already have it might as well just throw it in, I'd get a new gasket though and seal it with some rtv
You did use the bleeder screw that I showed you right? Did you turn on your heater full blast? As SER96VSPEC said change your t-stat and your radiator cap. Some of us have used the 300ZX radiator cap with great success but make sure you have fixed your cooling issues first before using it. Don't want to mask the real problem with a band-aid. Go into the how-to section or the SR Manifesto to make sure you're bleeding the system correctly. This is crucial to insure those new parts will be even more efficient especially in the 110 degree heat you and I are driving in. BTW are your fans turning on ???? Have you checked them when the engine is running hot?

I did do the correct screw, the water came out and everything. I did not do the heater though, and so i should just buy a 300zx cap? Ill check out the bleeding section. And yeah they are turning on

You DID get a Genuine Nissan OEM thermostat right? You can pick up RTV Grey at Autozone or Pep Boys.
No i didnt, its a cheap one i bought sometime ago. I can go get a OEM one though from the dealership. Also what spark plugs are you running here in az? Cause there are so many in the manifesto that differ in performance and heat ranges.

Get the OEM thermostat. Install with the bleeder hole at the top. BKR6E-11, BKR6E or BKR6E-N plugs will work for VEs.
