Look at what chriscar posted in that link I sent you but the wire you need for tach signal is coming off the harness on the passenger side of the car, I didn't even need to take my center console trim out to access it, just look for the wire they say you need (I believe it's orange with a blue wire, might be the other way around) you just need to hijack into that and use that for the tach signal wire to the MSD switch

Okay so lately ive been having issues. My car accelerates like poop and bogs tragically. The car dies sometimes while its idling or when im rolling to a stop in neutral. The tps goes only up to .45 (warm motor) so i tried lowering just to see if any changes, and nothing so when i put it back to max (.45) now the car will not start. Do you guys think its the iac and the tps? Tps is from a roller rocker

The only light I can shed on this is that mine does something similar SOMETIMES in that acceleration will be lousy and then all of a sudden it will pick up a lot without pressing the accelerator down anymore... Kind of like a pre vvl... vvl? haha mine only happens when it's cold, I'm missing my crank position sensor and I was getting an o2 sensor DTC so when I get my speedo and different things fixed I will try to address this problem. Are you getting a check engine light? What car did you do the VE swap in? I had my IACV unplugged for a month or two and I finally swapped the DE IACV over and I noticed 0 difference in my idle. Another problem I have is sometimes I have sporadic idle (it will dip from 1-1100 rpms to 5-600 rpms) which is probably attributed to something with ignition or something like that. CEL can be a good thing though, if it's on a B14 or OBDII application, pull codes, if OBDI turn the screw on the ECU and look for the lights flashing to see if it it throwing any codes. SOMETIMES a CEL won't be displayed even though the ECU is issuing a DTC of some sort. As far as TPS goes, if your doubting it, replace it. On our car's the majority of the parts (such as sensors etc.) are due for a change anyway and with something as relatively cheap such as TPS, I would just replace it. That will make for one less thing that can go wrong in the future.

The ve swap is in a b14, DE ecu. In spite of the DE ecu the car used to run WAY better than it does now. I just passed all my codes and finally got emissions and the CEL comes back. Look around, notice wires hanging to the street. Its the wire that goes to the bottom of the tranny. Well from where that wire disconnects from the harness, it was melted and blown up never even found the other side of the plug. Any ideas if this CEL might cause engine hesitation? And why this might have happened? And yes same exact thing, pics up and loses power even though my pedal is in the same position. But this always happens now
