Also, do you have any DTC's? (engine code issues/ CEL) You may have an IACV issue. Have you tried to remove the IACV and clean it out? There are only a couple of screws and a thin gasket (<--handle with care) to remove to check the condition of the unit.

Have you load tested the battery or the alternetor? You may have an issue there. This would affect idle if you are not in gear and under load. Turn on a bunch of accessories, defroster, high beams, heater fan etc. does your idle become erratic and unstable?

When your car is warmed up completely and idling, is the fast-idle adjust screw far away from the throttle stopper or is it close to it?

Check these areas. It is hard to know what your issue is for sure, without being there. My best tool for fixing all of my car issues has been an insane amount of research and reading.

Totally! thanks man ill try these. Yeah like when i roll up the window i noticed the idle changes. and i think headlights.

I just dont know though because with the idle screw closed the car shouldnt run right? mine does... and there arent any leaks. Ill put my ve throttle body on because i found a roller rocker tps for it. And ill clean the IAVC tomorrow

Then later on you can either buy the software or take it to a dealer for fine tuning once you get additional mods.

Hmmmm they are very expensive though :/ With this b14 im looking at just keeping it a daily so i thought a basic would suite it perfectly. Ill have to keep looking into this

Do you mean if calum basics are available in the OBDII configuration?
White plug, as opposed to the blue OBDI plug?

Idk what color haha...
My car is OBDII and most calums i find are OBDI so i'll need a step down harness.

Hey so i finally got my VE throttle body on and i just did the timing like you said. it runs nice but when im coming to a stop it does that thing again where the idles drop pretty low and like when im pulling in the garage or a parking lot and gradually giving it gas it almost turns off. The car is idling very nice and accelerating pretty well.

Did you set the TPS properly? Set the idle speed properly as was listed before?
