Okay so my idle is at about 800rpms
There isnt a air or vacuum leak anywhere
The car increases speed like crap and lacks alot of power (without vvl)
When i put the car in nutral (coming to a stop) the idle drops to about 550-600rpms and sometimes in parking lots reversing and pulling forward slowly the car will die.
The TPS voltage is right and the ignition timing is correct.
My idle screw was tightened all the way just to get it to idle right and the other idle screw is closed too. So i opened the idle screw on the IACV and the car idles higher and has alot of power and doesnt lag on acceleration.
And then last night without touching anything the idle wne t down again and started to act up and then finally picked back up after i pulled over.
im out of ideas please help!
Did you go through the process I posted a while back? Timing mode? If so was the car completely warmed up when you did your adjustments?
Also, do you have any DTC's? (engine code issues/ CEL) You may have an IACV issue. Have you tried to remove the IACV and clean it out? There are only a couple of screws and a thin gasket (<--handle with care) to remove to check the condition of the unit.
Have you load tested the battery or the alternetor? You may have an issue there. This would affect idle if you are not in gear and under load. Turn on a bunch of accessories, defroster, high beams, heater fan etc. does your idle become erratic and unstable?
When your car is warmed up completely and idling, is the fast-idle adjust screw far away from the throttle stopper or is it close to it?
Check these areas. It is hard to know what your issue is for sure, without being there. My best tool for fixing all of my car issues has been an insane amount of research and reading.
