The coolant temp sensors are on the passenger side just underneath the intake manifold. There's a two wire and one sensor. The one wire goes to the temp gauge...you want to run the USDM one. The two-wire one goes to the ECU to control the radiator fans. I also switched the two wire ones for peace of mind when I did both my swaps.

uhhh... How'd you plug in your harness into the JDM temp sensors?

They go there^
That's one of the lines that went to the firewall, remember.

Might want to try bend it a little and get it out of the way. I have the VE hose on my P10 and love it, oil changes are a breeze....on my B14...not so much. :o

Hmmm but the oil filter is behind the motor on the ve unlike the de on the side. Doesnt seem my power steering line is too much in the way. Oh and im not sure what its called but the ac lines go into it and it has a pulley on it. Do i change that out too? because my ac lines wont connect to that ve one

The two sensors who are beside eachother? One of the sensors has like a stud coming out (male) and the other on a plug?

Okay i know exactly what sensors dude i asked a friend and i guess he didnt understand what i was talking about, thats when my confusion started. Okay so the male sensor, can i cut the harness and just wire up the ve female side? And the other sensor so i unscrew that one and put my usdm one in?

The longer oil filter will hit the power steering pump bracket. Not any of the lines. That's why the shorter filter.

I don't understand what you mean by cutting the harness, and wiring up the female side.

But that male plug has the same connector as the usdm one, we just change it for peace of mind. And the plug one is the one you have to unscrew to put the USDM one in.

Well, the male one with the stud coming out
Its totally different than my de sensor. And i hate the de one because the stud that comes out has a little round piece on the end which makes it very hard to clip it on.

But cant i just cut that wire and hook up the ve (female side) onto the de harness? And leave that ve sensor on?

Also, the sensore next to it, my de harness just plugged right in -_-

Yea, you can forget about the male one now. But as far as that connector goes, you could do that.
The problem will be that once that JDM sensor stops working you'll have to source another JDM sensor to replace it with; since you're harness will only accept that sensor.
