I see.. whats the proper rpm? what would you set it to?

For a completely stock VE I'd do about 4600.
But drive it for a bit and see how you like it, you want as smooth a transision as possible between the switch of cams.

i use msd 8969 window switch for my cams it works well and can change rpm kick in( if u still have ur ve harness u can cut off the two plugs and wire directly to the switch). what ecu do u have? if you already have a ser ecu from like 95-98 u could consider getting a nistune board 450 or so to make it fully programable will take a lil longer cause they are out of australia.

oh sorry, i did see anywhere in his thread about what year car he was doing it in and if he is going from a 1.6 to ve, or just a sr20 to sr20ve my bad, without knowing these things cant give any advice.

I am running the p11 20ve ecu as well with manual tranny, runs hard but the VVL points are still factory set

Hey dont be sorry, thnx for ur input. yea im going DE to VE. i think i got the ecu & cam activation down. i just hope i dont get lost on the swap but they say its not much of a change. just 2 sensors & the fire wall hose
