So my car says its over heating. The fans are staying on but then while im driving the gauge drops to normal and then goes back up. I have a DE thermostat new can i put it in the VE? Just for my piece of mind. But not sure whats really going on

You need to bleed the system. My the tstat housing there's an out of place 10mm bolt to the left upper. When the car is cold just remove it and full up the system. When it over flows through that hole them put the bolt back on

Okay so i got my VE tune in JWT, step down harness. I got the idle good earlier at 900rpms. Pulls hard everything is nice. I go inside my house and come back out to leave and the car is idling over 1.5k so i look at it everything seems good. I get to walgreens and i wne to touch the ecu cause its on the pasenger side and it made a clicking sound and the idle dropped and started to lobe. i shut it off and went in the store. when i came out i turned it on and the idle was fine. Touched the ecu and it did it again. Any ideas?

Are the harnesses to the ecu and step-down harnesss nice and tight and mated properly? Not having the ecu bolted down can also cause problems. But check the connections first and make sure you disconnect the battery and wait at least a minute before messing with the connections.

i tightened them down more. one was loose you can say but was snug. I havent touched it after that i just turned it on and it idled at 800rpms. So ill get it bolted down some how becaus ethta step down is quite lengthy haha

So would you know why the check engine light would flash while driving? Its not in diagnostic mode. The car feels a bit boggy sometimes. I just reset the ecu and its still doing it

When inserting prothane motor mounts, dont you just knock the old ones out along with the metal around them and insert the new ones?

You'll have to press the old ones out and press the new ones in. Prothanes are a pain but you should never have to do inserts again
