thats what i was thinking as my Knock Sensor Error Code is Intermittent, shows up once in a while, and all i do to clear it is pull knock sensor pigtail and reconnect or clear error on conzult

you think the knock sensor may be going bad, or is it a case of its working or not and i should be really looking at line and pigtail connection?

thx

I swapped to a Nistune and loaded lynch's old tune. The problem is almost gone entirely except I'm now concerned about the wiring harness around the injectors. Its just got a little hiccup sometimes when its cold and I lay into the throttle a little to much or occasionally while throttling through a fast elevation change that jostles the car.

My knock sensor code has not returned afaik.

Hope some of that helps you guys out. Its so frustrating driving a VVL car when the throttle response is missing.

it was the knock sensor cable ... from my experience .. nissan seems fail to find reliable wire for their knock sensor...

what did you guys do KennyX?, replace the Wires leading to the harness, Keep the Pigtail Connector, or replace the Knock Sensor?

after reading a lot of Hesitation issues, a good amount are getting the knock sensor error code, even here in the Philippines

Benito = Most of Us Here in the Philippines are using either the SR16VE or SR20VE A/T ECU, i only know of 1 with a Calum and maybe a few using A-Tuned (similar to Calum/Local)

You think the Hesitation may be an issue in aftermarket ECU's or the stocker units map?

i know how you feel, i was pretty happy with my Bolted On GA16DE then moved on with the VE, i guess it gives me something to fuss about for a few more years

replace the wire and keep the original connector ..thats it, find those wire with outer screen/shield to avoid signal noise .. while leave the shield connected to engine ... you are good to go
