gaining power on sr20ve
Hello im a new member on this forum although I have being looking at it the past while. I have a pulsar vzr with the following modifications Sr20 crank and rods(sr16block), notched n1 pistons, standard sr16ve head and cams, 5zigen 4-2-1 maniflold, uprated leads, Ngk iridium plugs(heat range8), decat, k&n panel filter and a nismo exhaust. It is mapped on a greddy emanage blue.
I got the car dynod at 194bhp(flywheel) at 7000rpm and it made 197nM of torque running 95octane pump fuel. Was dissapointed in this result and was wondering would anyone on here have any suggestions as to get more power out of my setup? Was thinking about 3" exhaust, installing cam gears and a adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Get a tunable ecu and a 3in exhaust will be good. also sr16ve n1 cams with get good gains over the regular 16ve.

n1 cams, and maybe a better header.

3" intake with velocity stack, better intake manifold, better header, and 3'' exhaust to start.

Will the 2.5in with a E-cut out gain the same as the 3in full catback or the 3in catback to muffler will gain more? just wonder cause i know if i go 3in it going be loud... So if the gain is about the same im just planning go with a E-cut out.

And for this set up i bet with a custom 4-1 header youll see alot of power.

At first, i would get proper tuneable ECU and get rid of the Emanage. Also you should use higher octane fuel while you have N1 pistons with ~12.5:1 CR.

This setup have to make at least 220 HP and 220Nm.

Get 3in exhaust some cam gears set them @ +2,-4 and some tuneable ECU you should get close or pass the 200whp and also a better header too.. Custon 4-1 or modified B18 tri-y headers will unlock some power too...

he did say that he notched the pistons, so his cr should be lower

I'd say that's close to where it should be for that setup, as it's almost the same HP I got
