Thread: header options

What do you think guys is the best header option for stock bottom end SR20VE, N1cams, 3" exhaust, excessive IM w/ N1 runners and Q45 TB?

and also what do you think about JMR garage header vs Super cowboy?

Well the best header I think would be burns spec 4-1 and yes supercowboy could build you one. There are going to be other opinions but id say the short stepped 4-1 w 2.25 choke would be ur best option...

and what about numbers with this set up and the 4-1 header...?

23in long header stepped 1 5/8 to 1 7/8 with 2.25 in choke back out to 3...

That's the header I ran on my 2.0. Made 205whp stock motor with n1 cams. Then made 218 with sr 16 pistons and my custom intake.. this header also made 270whp on my 2.3.

Honestly though I don't know how it would stack up to the big honda 4-2-1 header craze. They seem to be doing damn well..

a lil bigger than you spec'd. when should the "step" happen?

A 1/4 in can make a big difference in collector choke. Search the ve header test done at last on the old forum...

damn i thought so couldn't you pie cut that one to make 2.25 though would it work then or better to find one with the 2.25 from the jump?
