The guy who had the VE engine before me ran Valvoline full synthetic, 5w-30. This car dynoed at 206hp @ the wheels with intake, header, exhaust, N1 cams, and springs, so it is a healthy motor. While I like Valvoline I'm going to put Mobil-1 synthetic, 5w-30 in for the next change, only because I have never had a single problem with Mobil-1 and have been using it in all my SR20's for many years.

Florida wether is pretty hot so I'm running 10w-40 in my VE with half a container of stp oil stabilizer. I haven't had an issue.

Was it 206 on a dynapak?

I honestly am not sure what a dynapak is?
