Thread: BEst oil for VE

I have searched and it seems the thread is a year old already (almost)

so IM gonna ask what oil do you use for your VE's?

my VE is daily driven (for now) and will try it on a drag strip some time)

I am leaning towards MObil 1 or Castrol

what viscosity oil should I use since I am in the philippines and the weather is very humid...

coheed has some intense posts on the subject and swayed me to 5/40 rotella syn, or u can use 0/30 "german" castrol. but be warned that is hella thin.

not sure if we have rotella here, yeah 0w is so thin

i have castrol edge currently but its due for change oil...

searched some sites
im leaning towards mobil 1 5w40 or stick with castrol edge 5w40...watcha think?

i was running the castrol 540 but it's expensive. after reading about the rotella and seeing it's only $20-26 for a gallon! i was sold.

I'm currently running 10w40 Mobil one Synth and it seems to be pretty decent. But I'm preparing to go boost soon. Na I would run 0w30 German Castrol when I want to feed it good stuff, otherwise 5w30 synthetic from Valvoline/Castrol/Mobile1

If money was not an issue I would use motul, amsoil or german castrol. I currently use valvoline synpower but it got more expensive recently. Most people have their own preference.

VE is just a normal motor, not NEED for anything special.

if threaded like a normal motor then i would agree.... but making her see 9k every day n twice on the weekends, then i would beg to differ...
