N1 VE Engine Whine
Right gents I have had a whine coming from the car since I got it, it rises with the revs and is very apparent on deceleration the video below captures it pretty well..

Ive changed the PS pump and put new belts on in case they were too tight or something, some people have suggested the water pump others the gearbox and some the oil pump

Have a listen and see what you think ... would like to get to the bottom of it.

Its very faint, sounds like gearbox whine to me, might check or change the fluid

have run fresh fluid through it when I changed the clutch, made no difference,

I took the alt belt off and ran the car the noise was still there.

Its a fairly loud noise if Im honest its all you can really hear when the car is slowing

I was gonna say maybe wheel bearings but they are usually more of a grinding or humming noise not a whine for the most part. Maybe put the car up on stands and get the wheels going in gear and have someone listen for it, use the brake to put a slight load on the wheels while doing it in 3rd or whatever gear. Is it gear dependant, if it not its usually the diff gear making the noise or bearing noise in the trans.

Just dont stay on the brakes for a long period of time as they will heat up quite quick.

Does it in every gear, was 3rd gear in that video.

I have another box I can swap in will give it a shot and report back.

Again throw it up on jackstands run it in 3rd gear and put a slight load on it with the brakes and see if you can have someone under listening and try to hear where its coming from. Maybe you can locate it before going through the trouble. More than likely the trans but you never know.
