Thread: ve and hp adders

ok was just wondering what else I can do for hp for my ve, im at 180 hp trying to get to 200 on a na build, i have headers, short ram air intake, exhaust. was thinking n1 cams but not sure how much it adds. other ideas and facts thanks

N1's are a great addition. Over stock ve cams even without being tuned your looking at 12-14whp and a much much longer powerband as they will hold power up top Instead of dying off at 7500 or so, they will still pull hard all the way to 9k.

There are many other boltons you can do to the ve but n1's are probably the best bang for the buck. Other than that you have things like pullies, flywheel, n1 throttle body and so on. Do some research man and you will see what it takes to get to 200whp n/a. For one you will need a tuneable ecu for sure. If you have a rev limiter set on your ecu now to say 8k you will not be taking advantage fully of the n1 cams anyways. You need a realtime ecu that can be rev limited higher which i believe from what ive seen the new realtime boards can do that.
