What are your opinions on flex fuel sensors?

What is the best way for added safety when mapping?

A: Mixing E85 out to say E75-80 (during mapping only)
B: Run a flex fuel sensor

How reliable are these sensors?

I could se option A as a bit problematic, because of the increase in duty cycle needed for the 85% mix.

On a side note; do you see timing being limited on E85 and 14:1 CR? Or will I be able to run as much timing as needed until it won't make any more power?

yeah the id injectors are the shit!

Not sure why you want to mix the e85. There are electronic testers you can get to find the actuall % of ethenol.

I would say just run straight e85. Also if your top end is well put together and free flowing you should not be knock limited with e85. My motor was not. Its over 14:1 cr and in the mid range it may be slightly limited by knock but not on the top end. I loose power far before we get too much timing and start to knock up top. Also there are things you can do to help the situation if you are getting too much know. The easiest is probably retarding the intake cam... but if you plan to run the kelfords you should be ok. N1s might have a little more trouble and likely be more knock limited...

Zeitronix ECA : SEMA Award Winning Ethanol Content Analyzer and Flex Fuel Sensor for E-85 and E-85/gasoline Blends This might help if your going to mix and match.

That article was exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.

The standalone unit has correction tables for this very purpose.

@Cory: thanks for your input aswell.

@bluerb240: I was looking for a sensor, not the analyzer, but thanks anyway.

Not really an update, but I got a few questions, again

Have anyone of you bothered with adjusting afr for each cylinder? I'm thinking of having O2 bungs welded to all four of the runners.

I'm looking for two 8cw cranks and was wondering if all S13/S14 have this crank.

Got a 20V cas from greg btw

Tuning each cyl will be a good idea as long as you have the managment to do so. I haven't because I'm broke and stuck on a stock ecu lol.

I am pretty sure all the SRs have the 8 crw crank other then the earlier 187whp ve and maybe the roller rocker?.
