I'm not 100% sure if it caused me to bend a valve or reving to 8k on stock cams did. I had that valve bent and a few other that were tweeked. My friends car did something like this but his got into the motor. I had to fish it out with a magnet with the head still on the car. I told him to take the head off but he started it up and said ohh it's fine lol. Wrong it drove fine for about a day then it wouldn't start anymore. I never found out how bad it was because he was a Rtard and sold the car with the motor for 1k to some guy who fixed it.

On his it prob did but he never got the head off. On mine pistons were fine since it didn't happen at high cam.

So your valve wasn't bent?

I have no evidence that the valve ever contacted, So I am pretty sure it didn't. And the valve looks great, but I want to kinda get an idea on how lucky I got. I could see a DE smashing the valve easily because of the high lift cams. But the low-lobes on the VE, and the big valve reliefs make it very hard to contact the piston unless the car jumps timing.

I guess take the valve to an auto machine shop to check that it's not bent. If it's OEM straight then you dodged a bullet.

No mine were the one with the screw got bent and some others. I had the head ported and polished and got a valve job done. The porter was the one that told me and showed me the valves that were messed up.

Just a tip to get the screws out to loctite them.... Use a screwdriver impact. I went to pull my screws out and they started to strip at the end. Use an impact and give it a good wack, don't kill it, and they loosen right up. Just thought I would share that.

^^^ tried that on mine, after a couple hard whacks they didn't come loose. I was afraid I was going to bend the shaft, so I stopped wailing on it.

i use a screw gun, my craftsman 19.2v, works everytime, make sure your using the right phillips tip (#2) and lean into it with some force, the torque of the electric motor breaks it loose instantly, same goes for the screws on the fuel rail, remember you gotta push with some force on the screw gun to reduce slipping, and i ease into the trigger for a nice slow start

i always soak these with high strength loctite, nissan needs to go back to all metal tb, that plastic peice is screwing everything up
