Ever seen Green loctite, we use it in the avation industry. It's like thread welding lol, you'll never get those suckers out EVER! I used red I'm sure that's more then enough.

De tb screws are slightly different, they don't wiggle around the thread like the ve screws.

Lowport DE throttle body for the win. I'd rather switch out the VE TB & use the lowport DE for peace of mind. Loctite is the cheaper option but for some of us with cruise the DE option kills 2 birds with one stone.

Will the highport TB work or it has to be the lowport TB

Ask lynchfourtwenty how he made the highport TB work on the VE. A bit of creativity is involved. Lowport is a direct bolt on, no mods needed aside from a throttle cable bracket revision.

I lock tight the screw first then cut the excess screw off. then I used a sharp punch to spread the tip of the screw so if it loosens the screw will not fall out.

at first i had the ve tb on and i did locktite the screws, well when my friend got his 16ve from miko the tb was damaged, at this point i had already put the de tb on my car so i had the 20ve one layin around.. i tried to loosen the screws to relocktite them an it wasn't happening.. they wouldn't budge at all.. so i put it on his car an its been fine for almost 2 years. prolly should check them soon.
