Cruise Control on VE w/B14 TB
Just swapped a B14 throttle body onto my VE IM and did the coolant bypass. What bracket are you guys using to keep tension on the cruise control cable for it to work properly like the throttle cable bracket? Are people just making their own, or can the bracket from the lowport IM be swapped onto the VE IM for both to work?

Is there something I am missing here?

Any info would be much appreciated!

I think you need a custom bracket cause no other bracket works. Someone sold me one but it didnt work at all. If you search the forums I think there is some company that makes them for like $40.

Those brackets were made by Overkill, but they were not designed properly. You gotta come of with something on your own pretty much. I can't even use the stock VE bracket on my swap because it does not have enough slack for my cable. I have come up with something and move it to the hole to the right. I've seen a few people that had to do this, but others didn't. Weird.

I made my own bracket with leftover brackets I had hanging around.
I actually drove my car to OEM for them to look at.They were supposed to make a copy of what you see here, and somehow the design got changed and never worked out.
What I di in 10 minutes with a grinder and some spraypaint, took OEM MONTHS and it was wrong.
Heres the pics of what I did,It ois 2 brackets, one on top of the other and one bolt holding all of it together.
I just used the VE TB,so it will be slightly different for you...but you get the idea

Well whenever I get around to putting another VE in I will do it again and do a writeup on it.
Sadly those pics are from the egg that was stolen,so some other scumbag mofo has them now, otherwise I would make more.
Currently I am rocking a tired DE,so its only a matter of time

I used the original 94 lowport throttle body and bracket for both cruise & throttle on my VE, just had to be creative & used a spacer to make it work. Everything works perfectly. 94 B13-97 B14 throttle bodies are the same, pretty sure the 98+ B14s used the same one also with cruise.

Any pics of this method? Would like to get an idea of what type of spacer I would need to come up with in order to make this work. I have the throttle body all good to go, I just have no tension on the cruise cable in order for it to engage and function like it should.

This coming weekend I am planning on trying to fabricate a bracket to take care of this issue. I will let you all know how it goes.

I did almost the same thing as eggman, I kept the ve tb and just searched the junkyard for brackets from all different cars, I think the one I used came off of a honda civic

I took an hour or so and kept messing with the 4 brackets I got and one worked, it has survived a round trip from fl to pa and many more miles about 6000+ so far, I have been meaning to do a write up also but haven't found the time yet
