Peaks at about 8.2k hold to 8.6k only dropping 5 hp. After that hp drop to 200hp at around 9k plus just trying to take it easy cause block only got 300 miles. Will rev higher once at the track.

it wouldnt have hurt just to give it a water test.

if they are bad you could be loosing alot compression out the valves.

just for the hell of it give it a leak down test...

Thats weird, when I did my buddies 2.2L 12.5:1 build it was night and day faster than the 2.0L ve that went in later. This was with stock intake manifold, franklin stage 3's and basic other boltons and a realtime ecu. I mean night and day by the 2.0L ve in it now blows first away and some of 2nd. The 2.2 blew first second and some of 3rd away and pulled like a freight train. I think you may have other issues like strat said, Maybe a valve sealing problem.

I was reading some posts on honda-tech from the last weekend where a guys all motor street built f20 was down about 40whp because of valve sealing issues. Might want to do a leakdown test on the motor. There is no way you should only be at that power level with your mods. Id say 235-240 at a minumum as its been done by a couple others.

I was thinking at least 235-240 as well. You got Cory's intake manifold and 184-C's. The car should be pulling like a d*mn bull and it should be night and day difference.
