radiator hose help
ok I am almost done with my swap from a ga16 to sr20ve. Now I am trying to use my stock radiator that was in the car with the ga16, however the outlets from the radiator are smaller than the one on sr20ve. is there anything i can do for that like adapters or maybe try and insert a smaller hose into a larger hose. If anyone else ran into this, please let me know what I can or what you did? thanks

To change the radiator is the right thing to do, but you do not want to hear that I guess...

I've seen people with this issue just put a hose on the outlets of the radiator. Then slip the hose off the engine over that.

You can take your GA16 hoses if you still have them and sleeve them into the SR20 hoses and it will work like that. Best options is to get a 2.0L radiator.

Just cut your old ga16 ones slide over radiator inlet and outlet and then put your hoses over that works fine... i once swaped a car and he was only running the ac fan with ga radiator never over heated...

If you're here in AZ just get a 2.0L 2 row radiator. I wouldn't risk overheating a VE with a 1.6L radiator in 110+ heat in the summer. If you're using the 1.6 radiator as a bandaid till you upgrade 2.0 hoses over1.6 hoses at the radiator inlets works. Just upgrade & be done with it. It's still over 100 degrees here.

I cut my old 1.6 hose and used it as a sleeve for my 2l VE+T setup.

The radiators between the 2 are identical apart from the tank hose fittings!
I have used a GA radiator on my NX for the last 3 years and remember where I live it is hottttt! Summer here by us last for 8 months and average heat for those months are 90 degrees. I used the GA hose sleeve, cut off at the fitting and slipped the SR hoses over it.
