I just received my sr20ve metal headgasket from gregv @ gspec well anyway the headgasket has three layers and one of sides have seperated from each layer will this hurt anything? Didnt know if they have to be all together for it to seal right thanks

So what you are saying is that only 2 layers are attached? and the back side isnt? if so it's no gude, call him and let him know its messed up.

i noticed that the head gasket has rivets holding the layers together but on one of the corners all three layers have seperated. thats what it looks like anyway i will call him tmrw once i get off work and explain it to him.
if its just on one of the edges you will be fine, they are not going to be stuck together for the most part. Once installed and torqued down its not going to matter because of the design of the gasket everything is going to seal properly.
