I wouldn't rev past 8200 on stock springs and retainers.

I would do that to be safe.... I would think that 7800 would be doable but you are on the verge of valve float on stock cams.

Im running a det block, ve head, t28 with headers and N1 intake, at 1.3 bar its holding boost to redline, which is 7600 i think atm, and im hitting the limiter all the time. Power band is quite wide, boost from 2500, so im prob just going to try and change earlier and save the wear and tear. Also running a 6 speed, so running out of ratios isnt a major problem.

It all depends on the size of the turbo. A small turbo will run out of steam before the 2.0 cams will.

I for one with a 6262 plan on 8k with 2.0 cams. I also have aftermarket springs and retainers.
