You can fit 2 of them 5" magnaflows back to back without a cat if you weld them together close enough. Here are some pics with a Vibrant muffler on a nx.

Before I started this thread I did a search and found your setup Eggman, loved it.

The thing is I already got a muffler, is an HKS Hi power and before I get the new 3" catback on the car I'd like to weld a resonator.

My current setup is 2.5" mandrel bent piping and 2 Magnaflow resonators a lil bit longer than yours and the thing is QUIET, that quiet you can barely notice the VVL popping.

Now I would like to unleash some power and get a different exhaust tone that's why a single resonator would do the trick, I'm just tired of being in such an sleeper car

With some minor massaging of the tunnel with a hammer, you can fit a Vibrant ultraquiet resonator under there after the cat.I also remove a small section of heatshield but the part over the cat remains.
I did this by hacking up a Megan catback that was on the car already.I reused the piping and moved the existing megan resonator back behind the vibrant and added a Vibrant muffler to get the Megan fartcan off there.
Sounds real nice,this a a 2.5 though.

started out like this,yuk

Crazy I was thinking about doing that on mine. Those resonators work really good. With no Cat and that resonator and a twin loop muffler the car is crazy quiet.

Well I got the 5" Vibrant 17950

I always have been a Magnaflow customer so now I wanted to try some new brands, that's the reason I leaned toward the Vibrant.

Part of what makes a resonator to be quieter in an exhaust is the amount of fiber, I did some calculations about the amount of each one the Vibrant had the most.

In one of my cars (Spec V) I got the biggest Magnaflow I could fit in, it was a 6" round body and over 30" length, the drone and angry bees were gone and the sound was amazing, the 6" body had several clear issues tho

Check out the motoIQ story. Martin has 2 of the vibrant super quiet resonators on his B13.
