Thread Jack! Sorry! I have read that How-to on identifying VVL canshafts but in Miko's response he stated that the SR20VE Ex. cam has a mauve marking and yet THOR states that the SR20VE ex. cam is beige/creme. When i google mauve it shows up as a lilac or purple tone. I'm guessing it is just Miko's take on the same colour? I cracked my VC open last month and I couldn't tell if the Intake was red or orange and the exhaust was beige.

The previous owner of this engine was in here swapping cams so I am not sure. Any ideas? I think it is probably a good bet that he didn't leave N1 (intake)/SR16(exhaust) in here but just wanted to be sure!?

those are stock, and they are really clean!

the bottom of your fuel rail where the injectors go in looks nasty tho

I didn't see shit. Then you made me look closer, and I saw them (clearly).

Ya I figured as much. Just thought I'd check. Wishful thinking on my part I guess. It explains the low end torque I guess. Previous owner had SR16's in there so probably not many miles on these puppies!

Thanks!

Calipers are cheap. Go buy or borrow some and measure, that's the only true way to tell.

@ lynchfourtwenty. LOL that was when I temporarily had my modified RR fuel rail on there. The brown stuff is gasket sealer. And no It did not seal properly at all, even with the VE lower injectors seals. I now have the VE rail on and what a M A S S I V E difference!

Caliper = $8

Measure the lobes and that will tell you.

I highly doubt javi or jeremy would try to sell a part falsely labeled.

You guys up in the Pacific North West are on some strong shit these days.
