what ya think? thanks man.

My opinion is spend the money on a well designed custom header rather than on a N1 intake as it will make you more power. Also get some adjustable cam gears so that you can set your cams +5 &-5 as recommended here. Luckily, there are a lot of builds just like yours that make good HP so if you have a look at some of the older threads, all the info is there

I'm currently in the process of putting together my labor money for miko. You can see the list of parts I have in my sig. Maybe I can talk miko into building the motor (ill pay the labor of course) then when I got the cash for the motor and swap it will be ready to go in. Idk I just look into my closet and see all those parts and I'm like soon soon. I would like to see if I can port it before it goes on too.

oh. I would like to make some good power this year. The car is done and all, just need to get here to the dyno. Hope to hit at least over 350whp on the 16psi. That would be nice!

I'm also aiming for 350whp, but I haven't even bought the engine yet. So who knows how long this will take me. ;_;

We're getting there, the engine has been at the workshop for a couple of weeks now & the piston to valve clearance for the new cams was sweet so no need to pocket the pistons. After talking to my engine builder, I've decided to get the engine freshened with new rings & bearings at the same time so am expecting it to take another 2 or 3 weeks.

Here are a couple of pics of the new head as prepped by Kelford, it's a nice port job using std size valves.

Compared to the head that was on the car which had a mild porting with the intake & exhaust opened up a bit and a multi-angle valve job done.

And a couple of pics of the block with the shaved SR16VE pistons, sitting under those is an 8cw crank. She's done pretty well, this was one of the first VE blocks in NZ to run SR16VE pistons - 48,000kms with a 9,250rpm rev limit and standard springs & retainers! The new head has Kelford uprated springs fitted.

The old engine had Franklin Stage 4s but the new build is running running a new grind of Kelford cam. I certainly hope they work well 'cause the Franks were given to NocabiwikSMX to test & he doesn't want to give them back! Kelford are pretty damn good at what they do so I think I'll be safe.

Right now the car has Fujitsubo headers & a 2.5 inch mandrel bent exhaust. I'm gonna try a suggestion that Charles made of running custom secondaries with the Fuji primaries into a 3 inch system. I sent the dimensions of the Fujis to Burns & they also thought it was a reasonable approach and came back with a design. I've ordered the collector & will be making up a set of custom secondaries as per their recommendation.
