im buying a $690 det from tiger imports, taking the internals out and hot tanking them, reringing it and putting all the of the rotating assembly in my VE block after i hone it.
put my VE head on it and run stock boost with a t25, 370's and a jwt ecu.
how does that sound?
any ideas or input?

good luck guys

Well it seems there are numerous builds that will be interesting. Without headwork the N/A guys will have a hard time to get over 220whp.

On my next head I will do basic headwork and see what it will gain.

I plan to make 500+ whp with my build. My build is 80% done the remaining 20% is putting it together.LOL! Maybe I should have a geekout to getrdone!!!

Also I know there us alot of R&D going on and it has not been shared. I guess there will be a time when it will be available. I have been doing some and it is indeed costly... When my build is complete I will be more than happy to share.

The question is when will it be available? Maybe when the ve is obsolete?

Most of those with the knowledge and means to conduct r&d consider that information either privileged or want to be the fastest ve out there, even though they will more then likely never come in contact with more then a few other ve owners in their life....as I said "At the mercy of".....

I just want to beat some Honda's....

Thats in a RWD old school Datsun 1200.

Fast ass car.

I am doing a VE-T build but, nothing to crazy as far as whp is concerned. I am just doing a nice quality build. Shooting for 400 whp and 300+ tq on pump.

The VE motor is awesome to turbo and that is why peeps are going for this. Just slap a VE head on a DE/T block and you are good to go to make great and reliable HP.

As for R&D, do I think it is for the privledged? Somewhat...I am more than happy to share it with anyone whom is willing to get the work done. I mean having the people I deal with getting it done. It is not cheap either, depending on what you want done, it can cost a mere 800 to 3000 bucks for a basic to complete head.

I will share flow charts as soon as I get them, I already posted stock flow numbers on the other forum last year. My head did not get done til last week since I have been doing alot of one offs. The headwork I did I would not recommend it til I get the car running. I think something more milder would be best for other builds.
