3k rpm then it stumbles
i have been reading online and they are stating maybe bad maf

but i wanted to see if anyone here has had this issue
the car will start and idle

running super rich blowing super black smoke out the tail pipe

the maf is from my old de that was running fine
the tps is stock VE that looks fine but have not tested it out yet
the knock sensor is stock VE but it looks way better than my DE one.

sr20ve running ve dizzy and B13 ecu all stock
i did the swap and got it started last night but it drives up to 3k rpm then the it stumbles and will not go past 3k

any help would be awesome as i am currently guessing by cleaning the maf, aac and ficd and going to put the DE knock sensor on it too

what about the tps for the store B13 will that fit on the VE engine?

Its your Maf. It will do the same if you unplug it completely. Make sure its pluged in all the way.

im going to ground the MAF with a new ground wire but i wanted to be 100% sure that its it white wire on the center? does this wire also ground anything else or can i simply cut it and run the ground straight from a good ground source to the MAF?

Just extend a wire and find a nice piece of chassis to ground it to. Make sure it's plugged in all the way and not loose.

yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i got it to work and man is this engine stronger then the old DE!!!!!

one other issue now is that the idle is at 1900 so i am thinking that i need to adjust the timing on the car and hope that brings the idle down to a reasonable range

thanks for the help on the MAF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Un plug the tps set the idle screw on the iacv. Also might have to adjust the cold start idle on the plunger on the tbody ...

one thing is i had taken off my TB to clean it all out and there was no gasket in stock so i bought some gasket paper and made my own and i cleaned and re-grounded my MAF at the same time.

the night before idle was at 800 but would not run past 3k rpm

today the idle is at 2000 and it runs perfect so i am going to have take the TB back off to see if maybe the gasket didnt seal right.

i also removed the TPS and eyeballed it back on so it could also be a mis adjusted TPS.

all in all the car is running tons better just this last idle bit and ill be super happy.
