Thread: no top end power

my ve has no topend power i can't even redline 4th gear 1st-3rd is pretty strong. There is just no pulling power in the higher gears.something must be wrong the old de didnt have this problem.setup is ebay headers, de maf and ecu in a 4dr b13. any thoughts?

Log your injector cycle, and your maf voltage at that rpm... That might tell you a little bit, and we can work from there.

Are you on Stock cams? If so high cam is still made to make peak power where you are lacking. Check out some of the stockish VE dynographs on the forum vvl dyno thread to confirm.

You do realize that top of 4th year is above 100mph right?

Are you sure that the solenoids are switching?

I know on my VE the top of third is between 95 and 100 mph roughly. So for top of fourth, you should be around 120ish. I've hit 135 in mine and still had some to go.

pretty sure that both solenoids are activating. at 7500 rpm 4th should be at 120ish but the ve cant seem to get there. i have gone well over 125 with the de motor, thats why i'm thinking something is wrong.

i've done 130 in 4th with room to go

Don't you think it'll be running pig rich, since the DE ECU thinks you've got 259cc injectors in there?
