Thread: apexi rsm

i was looking into using this device to activate the solenoids but not sure if the device is capable of doing this. i have search around and found a few sketchy post but i want to see if anyone here has done this before.

Yes, I have. Use a relay and you are good to go.

Has only 1 output though remember so it will switch both at once.

and RSM can switch things? really?

nice!!! my speedo cable is busted and its hard to find i think ill just buy this device and fix my speedo issue and vvl activation!!!!!!!

Yes it has one switched output which is usually used for a shift light, but same deal, but you *MUST* use a relay to switch the solenoid and use the RSM as a trigger for the relay.



If your speedo cable is broken then you'll have no speed signal going to the dash, which means no speed signal going to the ECU which means you won't have a speed signal for the RSM to pickup.

damn oh well all i need is the rpm signal ill keep looking for the speedo cable.
